Cherry Blossom Purse

I found this super easy purse pattern in a magazine. It calls for (2) half yard pieces of fabric. It was easy to make and it's cute. It even has pockets. It only took about an hour and now I have an new bag. I needed an extra bag like I need a hole in the head but I still had fun making it.

Out of Town

I was out of town this weekend with my daughter's middle school chorus. 2 days in an amusement/water park was enough to wear me out. Back to crafting today. Yea!

Music Quilt

This one was a last minute request for someone whose son plays the piano. It is a small wall hanging (28"x38"). I managed to piece, quilt and bind it in one afternoon. Luckily I had bits and pieces of music themed fabric

Niceville H.S. colors

This quilt was commissioned from someone graduating from Niceville HS. It is personalized with the graduate's initials.
The hardest part was matching the burgundy for the binding after I ran out of the mottled burgundy in the blocks.

Puppy Quilt

I forgot to post a picture last week of the puppy quilt I made between the Tshirt quilt and the Gators quilt. It was commissioned for "someone who likes puppies". Since I don't know her or her puppies, it was a little vague. Inspiration hit when I found the "hair" looking fabric, a design came to mind, and the paw print fabric was provided by a friend. It is small but cuddly.

Gators Quilt

I made this quilt this week end. It was commissioned as a gift for a student headed to UF. It is personalized with the student's initials.

My neighbor asked me to make a ladybug wall hanging she wanted to give someone. It is small (38"x45") but I thought it came out great. Who needs a giant wall hanging anyway?
I found a charm pack of red/white/black polka dot fabric that gave me the basis for the quilt, add a little novelty fabric and an applique or 2, or 15, and voila! Lady bug quilt.
Yes. I actually appliqued each black circle on the wings.
Coming soon: Craft Fair

I have been absent for a while in a funk about many things. My main problem is wanting to share my crafts in a fun way online (i.e. this blog), but also share with my community by organizing and attending craft fairs.
My first project is a Church craft fair at the Episcopal church of the epiphany, here in Crestview, FL, on September 8th, 2012. Any crafter is invited to join us. The cost is a flat fee $20 a space for the day.
I hope to stay busy with craft fairs and of course, crafting.
I have been busy sewing lately so I will be posting photos. Let me know what you think.

T shirt Quilt

This is a sample T-shirt quilt I made using someone's Taekwondo shirts.
I would love to get into the business of making them. This one is obviously small, only 9 shirts, and measured about 40"x45". They can be made any size.
